Monte Do Barrocalinho is the holiday family home at heart.
In the sunny south of Portugal, we found an abandoned farm house and turned it into our dream eco friendly holiday home. A sunny home for solar holidays.
About
The farm house is newly renovated, combining rural heritage with a contemporary feel.
The house was rebuilt using the traditional knowledge and architectural culture, the local people and materials.
We translated ancestral legacies to a contemporary language, creating and feeding social and economical dynamics connected to local art and crafts.
The farm
Our farm offers a place to relax and/or as a base to explore the rest of the Algarve. We are centrally located – good for exploring the Algarve – East & West.
We are situated in the rural countryside of the municipally of Loule, which is a perfect location for peace and tranquility and yet only a 20 mins drive to the beautiful beaches in Algarve and 15 mins from the Alte river which forms a pool where many people come to swim during the summer. Alte village is also known as one of the most typical and unspoilt villages in the region of the Algarve.

When the body requires rest we surrender ourselves to wellness rituals, taking advantage of the natural properties of local olives, almonds and carobe trees.
